Pros
Alignment and blending: In Panorama for Mac, you can adjust Matching Margin Size, Blending Margin Size, Input Image Scaling, Exposure Matching, and more. These are available on the Preferences page, and they're quick to adjust on their respective sliding scales.
iOS app integration: As the handy Help file that comes with this app explains, you can download a companion iOS app and let it guide you in taking pictures to create great panoramic shots. Once you have a good set of photos, just import them to iPhoto, and then transfer them into Panorama and let the app do the rest.
Cons
Convoluted process: While the basic functions of adding photos and processing them seems straightforward enough on the surface, getting good results is a little more complicated. For instance, the app doesn't handle the processing of large numbers of photos well, so it's best if you stitch two or three images together at a time, and then combine several sets of those blended images to create your finished product. However, there is no way of knowing this without reading through the Help file, which you might not think to do right off the bat.
Bottom Line
Panorama for Mac can help you create great finished images, if you use it the right way and take advantage of the iOS app integration. It can be frustrating to use if you don't want to use the iOS app or try to process too many images at once, so it's best to read the Help manual thoroughly before you get started.
